What is necessary after a physically taxing workout? Maybe some stretching or icing the body, a massage and some nutritious meal. You take care of the body. Having the same concept in mind let’s think about a relationship during a fight. We can agree that fights are taxing to both people in the relationship. Both have been emotionally beat up. Just like you would take care of your body after a workout, you need to care for the relationship. What are some ways to do that? LOVE.
I asked my husband to write 3 things he loves about me and I did the same. It was so beautiful to read what he said. It reminded us why we love each other so much. Sometimes all the issues in our lives keep us from appreciating each other. If you do this with your spouse you will feel your relationship start to bounce back. That’s how I felt.
We also had an impromptu date. He drove me to the chiropractor and we decided to go to the mall and eat at the food court. That was really nice. He never takes me to the chiropractor so when he offered to take I was surprised and happy. I enjoy spending time with my husband. Life feels great when we are having fun together.
